Improved Affiliate Program!!!

Quite a few of our customers have joined our Affiliate program to earn commissions from referrals. We are pleased to announce that we have added several features to make the program even better! We know that one of the important keys to our success is having a successful business relationship with you. We want to do everything we can to make it easy for you to be our partner. We hope you enjoy the new features we have added to the program.

We have NOT changed the commission structure. In addition, Affiliates receive the following new features:

  • Named Affiliate Manager  – each Affiliate will be assigned a named Affiliate Account Manager whose job is to assist you in all aspects of the program

  • New Banners and Logos – the Affiliate Center now has a number of banners and logos that can be used on your website or blog

  • Marketing Collateral - A library of descriptions of various character lengths is available in the Affiliate Center

  • Easier Signup for non-customers – from our Affiliate Program page, non-customers can sign up for the Affiliate Program without having to buy our hosting services

Meet eApps – Jorge López

This month, we introduce Jorge, a member of our Technical Support department and contributor to special projects, the latest being our CDN project.

Jorge was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He attended “Universidad Galileo” college, which focuses on technological careers. He earned a degree as a Computer Science Engineer, with a Major in Information Security and also has a Master’s degree in Networks and Telecommunications. Jorge takes inspiration from his family. His mother has a small business and is a great example of a hardworking woman that never stops because she loves what she does. He also has a big event coming up soon, his pending marriage. Even though he jokes about it, he is very happy to be marrying his true love.

He built an Apache CGI web site using perl on RedHat Linux during college, back when you had to compile from source. He quickly learned about dependencies and makefiles, etc. while working from the command line. Jorge loved it, and jumped at the opportunity to work as a system administrator at his college while he was a student there. After graduation, his first job was as a storage and server engineer, working in a large scale environment running SANs and high availability clusters in a mixed Linux and Windows environment.

When not immersed deep in technology, Jorge likes to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoys video games and movies but his first love is soccer. Every day he is playing soccer, watching soccer matches, or talking about soccer with his friends. Jorge knows his soccer! However, even in his spare time he can not get away from computers. Lately he has been learning mobile web application development.

Jorge says that working at eApps has been great for him. Since the very first interview everyone in the company has been truly kind, and everyone across the company is willing to help him. The support of his associates at eApps “grows on him” and has given him a warm feeling that he wants to make sure all eApps customers feel as well. He really loves the fact that we try to help our customers be successful with the latest technologies.

Say hello to Jorge when you get a chance. He really enjoys working with customers and looks forward to serving you.

50% Off Priority Support – First Three Months

For New and Existing VM in the Cloud Customers - We take pride in providing responsive technical support to all of our customers, large and small. Our technical support representatives are focused on one thing – your issue. So why does eApps offer a Priority Support option?

We have found over the years that some customers need an extra level of comfort for the operation of their web site or application. We designed the Priority Support service to meet this need, without compromising the service level of other customers.

The Priority Support add-on can be purchased for any VM in the Cloud. The service provides the following benefits:

  • special phone number for calls to our support department
  • preference over other requests of the same level of severity
  • automatic escalation of phone calls, up to a senior manager

Please note that Priority Support would not, for example, put your general question ahead of another customer that has a “site down” issue.

To get Priority Support, under the Services area of your Portal click on the details of your Virtual Machine, then “view available add-ons,” and use the following Promotion Code in the order:

TECH TIP

An SEO Primer

This month, we are mixing it up a little bit. Instead of a purely technical tip, we are talking about a subject near and dear to the heart of many web site owners – Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

The depth and complexity of SEO is intimidating. The top few positions of search results is valuable real estate, and everyone wants their web pages to be there. An entire industry has evolved to help web site owners get visibility for their sites, and web site owners can spend a small fortune improving their placement.

However, you have to start somewhere and if you are new to SEO then start with the basics. Our marketing department has published An SEO Primer for this purpose. It explains how to get started with important concepts, including:

  • creating landing pages

  • identifying keywords

  • placing keywords

  • submitting your site to the search engines

  • tools to monitor and track your rankings

  • links to more information and useful tools

  • and more

Visit An SEO Primer for the full article. May the high search engine rankings be ever in your favor!

For questions on the primer, contact marketing@eapps.com.
